Review on Philips DVDR3576H Recorder 160GB Built by Tim Harrington

I have just received my new DVDR and this is my first Philips product that I have ever owned. I am very happy with the good design from Philips, they had a better product and idea than Panasonic. I have many Panasonic products at home, I thought they were better, but I was wrong. Compare this DVDR with the Panasonic DVDR, it will completely change my perspective. This set offers better reception than the Panasonic DMR-EZ47 or DMR-EZ17 (both have a digital jog dial, but it keeps skipping programmed recordings and often freezes). I use the same antenna as the Panasonic on this Philips DVD-R and the picture is not distorted and I get more HD channels. I like the hard drive option, it's very convenient and all the recorded TV shows are beautiful. AMAZON delivers quickly and free of charge - another plus! I am still trying to learn more about the features of this set and will update my rating for each find as long as they are 200% satisfied with this product. Now I've found that the Panasonic product isn't as good as it used to be. My TV, my old VCR, 2 new tech "inverter" microwaves and 2 DVD recorders. They all break down a bit during the warranty period for me and even when they work, they don't work as well as the price I paid. For me no more Panasonic!
