Review on Enhance Refrigerator Air Quality with Whirlpool W10311524 SxS FreshFlow Air Filter – Single, White by William Stewart

This is the first time I have replaced the original manufacturer's air filter since purchasing a Whirlpool refrigerator. The manual contains the part number for the air filter W10311524. I purchased this replacement air filter direct from Revain (seller) in June 2015 and am very happy with it. I think it helps reduce the smell in the fridge. It might not always be obvious if it works or not because the contents of my fridge are constantly changing, but I believe (and want to believe) that it matters. I used to have a box of baking soda in my fridge, but now I only keep one box in my freezer. I love it. This is probably a very underrated accessory and the high price certainly doesn't help! I doubt it's that expensive to produce, but the margin is negligible! In any case, the filter is very easy to install and fits the original filter I replaced so it just snaps into place as expected. Too bad the whole block has to be replaced, not just part of the carbon filter because I just hate throwing more plastic in landfills but that's it! I wish my fridge's control panel would tell me when to change the air filter (just like the water filter), but I'm stuck on the latch that comes with the air filter and I have to press to activate it (which I don't). ). I don't give a shit and I don't know how to stop myself from falling in the damn gap!). Overall I love the built in air filter and I think it really works! If it wasn't so expensive I would change the air filter more often. However, from the looks of it, I'll just "try" to replace it every six months. I would put 4.8 / 5.0! - 08/11/2015
