I purchased this for my 2003 BMW 530i that had a few scuffs in the steering wheel leather. Seeing that the main photo showed a BMW, I figured this would work okay.It came shipped bent-in-half in a clear and shoddy looking package. I must say, I immediately thought it was going to be a piece of garbage. Pulled it out of the bag, and noticed the bends in the material. Again, thought "this is never going to look good." Anyhow, I looked briefly at the instructions and went to work trying to fit this over my steering wheel. I started at the top, got about half-way down, and it seemed there was NO WAY this thing was going to fit. I pulled it off, yanked around on it for about 5 minutes (trying to stretch it out), and tried again. Same thing.I thought for sure I was going to have to send it back. I started to put it all back together to send back, and though.I'll give it one more go. This time I really put a lot of muscle into it. I kept pulling and prying it over the edge of the steering wheel, thinking at any moment I was going to need a crowbar to finish the job, or it was going to fly off and knock my damn eye out! LOL! Well, after wrestling with it for about 5-7 minutes, the thing FINALLY seated itself on the steering wheel. One thing was for certain.this thing is NOT coming off at all. Miraculously, I had managed to center it well, and it looked good. The edges poked out a bit, and that took some getting used to, but now (after a couple of months), I don't really notice it at all.CONS: Item is like trying to put a tire on a rim with your bare hands. It's TOUGH! Once you get it on, the material is somewhat slick slippery a bit. Edges do not form around steering wheel, and open into center toward steering column.PROS: It works, and looks better than the original. It gets better with use.
