I really, really wanted to like them. They work but I don't trust using them in my newly bought house. I'm trying to use LIFX Smart Bulbs E26 in my ceiling fan with E12 outlets. To do this, I switched off the light, screwed in the JACKYLED adapters and then screwed in the LIFX bulbs. Then I turned on the light. The light flickered (could it be because the smart bulbs aren't compatible?) and then I heard a very faint buzz. I figured I should try them with regular LED bulbs and a CFL bulb and I still heard the buzzing. As other reviewers have pointed out, screwing it on too tight can short out and potentially damage everything it's plugged into or the electricity in your house. If they were UL listed I could give them three stars but they don't. A NOTICE. For those unfamiliar with UL listings, this simply means they have passed quality control and are considered safe under UL's safety guidelines. - Affordable - They work, but you may hear a buzzing noise. Cons: - Humming - Potentially unsafe if you screw it in too tight - Doesn't work with LIFX Smart Bulbs (quiet buzz) - Not UL Listed. I do not recommend these. I haven't tried other adapters but they have the best reviews. I'm still looking for a safe way to bypass the E12 bulbs in most ceiling fans. If I find out anything, I'll probably update this review.
