I have bought all types of hamster cages over the years and I think this one is the best. The deep tray fully accommodates the bedding and gives my robot enough space and depth to dig in. It's about twice the size of the average critter trail cage and has well-defined corners to make it easier for hamsters to navigate. The wheel isn't quiet, but it doesn't squeak either, and it's best of all: solid one-piece construction, safe for little paws and tails, and very easy to clean. I love cleaning the cage, it's very easy. I make sure my hamster is on the bottom tier, then remove the top of the wire and the ramp. I can then thoroughly wash all of her accessories while she is safely stored in the linen tray. I like that the wheel can be mounted either on wire rods or in a second level opening. It's just great design. I only swapped out the feeder plate because I have two ceramic bowls that I prefer from an aesthetic point of view (one for their regular meals and the other for treats). Although this is by far the best cage I've ever had and trust me I've tried them all, no cage is perfect. I also wish the top door was taller and more central, but that's not a problem. The only thing I absolutely had to throw away was my water bottle. Unlike the bottles that come with this cage, however, the nozzle I received had a nozzle that was too thick to fit through the bars of the cage so it had to be mounted inside to hold the clear plastic strap gnawing off that held the connection between the nozzle and cap The bullet didn't go all the way into the nozzle which reduced the water flow, I threw it away and replaced the tough glass bottle with a thinner nozzle and now everything is fine. in order. h, well done and 99% perfect. I've never come across a cage that I didn't need to adjust, but this one required the least amount of modification and will probably be my last hamster cage unless they redesigned it with a larger top door.
