Review on πŸ’‘ Dazzlingly Versatile: Dimmable R7S Bulb 78mm by Bonlux by Jason Cavett

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Dimmable but low voltage limitation...

They seem very good value for money - I've only had them a couple of weeks - and they appear to be well made. This goes perfectly with the lamp I replaced the halogen bulb with. I have bright whites (as opposed to warm whites) and they're "icy" whites, if that makes sense. The warm whites looked a bit too "warm" in the photos, but I would have liked them to be less "cool". So in terms of dimming they dim, but not in the lower voltage range. My halogen dimmer bulb was fully functional with its dial, but these LED replacement bulbs don't work the same way. It turns on in low light when the lamp is on, and then when you crank it to the highest setting it gets about three times brighter about halfway through, and then three times brighter up to max brightness. It has some of that "LED flicker" when it's dimmed, but not at full brightness. It's bright enough but I thought it would be brighter. However, it has a frosted glass that diffuses the light and makes it a little less bright. Note. I didn't rate the durability because I just didn't have it long enough to rate it.
