Due to the heavy rain we've had lately I've noticed a film of moisture on countertops and tables and hanging clothes. Turning on the thermostat helped dry things out a bit, but my apartment got uncomfortably hot and the air still felt a little damp. After reading a few reviews I decided to give this thing a try. The first time I tuned in was on a Saturday morning. Here it is, Monday morning, and there's over an inch of water in the tank that needs to be collected. The humidity is completely gone and now I can maintain a comfortable temperature in my apartment without worrying about excess humidity. Due to the intake fan, it is not exactly silent, but very quiet and unobtrusive.
