I liked the rubber/plastic handle cover which was easy on my fingers, but otherwise can’t recommend it. The ratchet mechanism is cheaply made with thin gauge steel and way too much play in how the parts fit together. As I was tensioning it, the side plates of the handle started to deflect and you could see how the sloppiness in the mechanism could easily cause it to jam or not have the teeth catch evenly on both sides. Maybe for the lightest applications just to keep something from sliding around these would be okay, in which case you could just use a simpler less obtrusive lashing strap with a thumb release buckle, but I don’t trust them to tension something down properly.
