Very powerful. Smells just like western red cedar. Doesn't smell like incense cedar or Port Orford cedar. Make sure you know the difference before you buy. The instructions begin by asking the user to sand the wood and check the level of odor remaining before using this product. When the scent returns, they suggest not using the product. (Because it's REALLY strong!) So if you use it, apply very sparingly and outside in the morning and let your furniture soak and air out in the sun for the rest of the day. If you plan to use it in pet litter I would suggest applying the product to a rag and placing it under the litter. It's easy to get so strong that your pet can't take it. It will wash off a little, but what's under the bedding can always be completely removed. About 30 medium-sized cedar boxes should be processed in one jar. I suspect most treatments will last several years on most absorbent materials (read "wood"). Very satisfied.
