I don't know how I've done my makeup and facials without them before! Instead of my hair towel being covered in foundation and having to be washed daily, I can now just keep it clean for showering/drying. Wearing masks and makeup when my hair is dry keeps me away from my hair. I'm guessing there are a few in the pack, in fact I'll be giving some away for free or you can keep them to use a different one every day. Velcro for me is both a plus and a minus. I love the velcro (it definitely stays on the velcro even when tightened) but it allows me to apply the tape more loosely when my hair is already in place and continue my makeup without messing up different hairstyles bring to. I can wear it loose or tight. I probably do my routine in reverse, but this works for me! The downside to velcro is that I wish there were elastic options in the straps without velcro, more like a headband to push all the hair back slightly, but I usually just keep it with velcro and it does the same thing. Depends what you use it for I think. I haven't used mask applicators but I've never had one so this is a nice bonus gift.
