Fun ball for little money

This inexpensive quadrocopter is just plain fun. I bought this for my 8 year old grand nephew but before jumping on it I tried it out to make sure it worked properly and I knew how to use it (since neither of us had ever used it before) . I was in the backyard giggling and laughing when I was half settled. It has been used by family members ranging in age from 8 to 62 and everyone enjoyed it a lot more than the price would suggest. Even someone who has had experience with a larger pro drone finds them surprisingly good and interesting for the money. , but after some practice we got it right. I highly recommend reading the manual carefully before use, especially regarding syncing and calibrating the controller and drone. For example, I didn't understand how important it is for the drone to be as level as possible when taking off, but a second reading of the manual clarified a few things. I also recommend buying extra batteries, a universal charger, and extra props. An included battery doesn't last long, but if you have extras you can simply swap them out and keep working for maximum enjoyment. The ZJchao 5x3.7V 500mAh battery has a larger charge than the one that comes with it, and you can get a 5 battery pack at a great price. The ThinkMax 4-in-1 4-Battery Charger keeps a range of batteries charged and ready to go. We got about 5 minutes with the original battery and 7-8 minutes with each 500mAh spare battery. Additional details are required as you *lose* them. We only broke one but lost several; They tend to fly away when you crash the drone, and as you learn, you'll crash often. The worst choice for this are the green props because they cannot be found by flying over the green grass. The drone itself survives crashes surprisingly well for this price. Also, sometimes some grass or other fine debris gets stuck between the propeller and the motor spindle. If one of the screws has stopped turning or has become weaker than the others, look for something similar. This quad is very manoeuvrable, the engines seem strong enough for their weight. In fact, when I first learned to use it, I often accidentally shot it up into the sky very quickly. I had to pick it up a few times while stuck in trees, but that's just due to my inexperience with drones. In general, I think that this is just entertainment for little money.
