I have 3 of these fans and they hum and hum like crazy. Probably the loudest fans I've ever encountered. I contacted the manufacturer who sent 3 capacitors that require the entire fan to be turned off, so I did this on all 3 fans. It didn't matter and made one of the fans even worse. I also tried 3 different controllers. Now they want me to send all 3 fans back so they can replace them but that's a pretty big problem.
