The battery life of this lighter is very good! I've only had to charge it a few times since I received it. It starts a fire pretty easily and looks pretty damn cool when you turn it on. It also makes a cool punchy sound which is an added little bonus for all the power lovers out there. The only real downside is that it's very difficult to light a candle with, which is why I bought it. I would recommend looking at another longer lighter if you are looking for candle lighting. The lid of the lighter prevents you from placing the ignition part of the lighter on the wick, which I think is very important for starting a fire. The area to be lit is fairly small, so you must be in direct contact with the desired flash point for it to ignite. Overall a good lighter for the price! It would definitely be very good for lighting cigarettes if that's what you're looking for.
