I opened up one of these cables to make sure the quality is indeed what Anker claimed. I can tell you that the +5VDC cable is huge compared to the regular USB cables on the market. In short, the voltage drop was 1/10 compared to normal USB with a load of 1.35A. This cable has two layers of shield, a braid layer and a foil layer. Anchor cable, no load, 5.12 VDC Anchor cable, 1.35 A, load 5.00 VDC Normal cable, no load, 5.12 VDC Standard cable, 1.35 A, load 4.05 At DC, the common cable was so bad Designed to heat up after just 10-15 seconds of use, the 1.35A load on USB isn't much. The anchor cable showed minimal (if any) thermal changes even after 10 minutes. The attached photo shows the anchor cable after 10 minutes.
