Review on πŸ”Š Enhanced VIZIO M-Series 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for Optimal Audio Experience by Jeff Henkhaus

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Another great value soundbar from Vizio!

Vizio has a long history of delivering very good soundbars at surprisingly more realistic prices than most big brands and I'm here to report that the trend continues with the M Series 5.1 soundbar. M51ax-J6. The M51ax-J6 soundbar offers truly exceptional sound quality, plenty of features, a fairly handy remote control, decent subwoofer bass and overall good value for money. It's also really nice to see that this soundbar has true support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, although don't expect any of that to be anything special with this soundbar just because it relies heavily on it due to the lack of speakers that are simulated virtual Altitude so it works for Atmos and DTS:X and yes it definitely varies from person to person, you may have a better or worse experience than me. It's also nice to see true 4K HDR via HDMI 2.0 on a soundbar at this price point, even with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. and largely unusable due to horrible screen cracking making it impossible to view the image, hopefully Vizio will address this issue with a firmware fix in the future. Luckily, HDR10 and HDR10+ work seamlessly. Also, fortunately, unlike some other people, I haven't had any real lag/lip sync issues with this soundbar, although it can vary from TV to TV. In summary, despite a flaw or two, the Vizio M51ax-J6 is an excellent 5.1 soundbar that I highly recommend. If Atmos and DTS:X are very important to you, you might want to spend a few hundred dollars more for the M512a-H6 soundbar, which actually comes with speakers that deliver better Atmos/DTS:X performance than the M51ax-J6 . .

Pros

Cons
