Received in a timely manner with other items. We had snow on the ground so I plugged it in and buried the sensor. Later on the snow was slightly melted around the wire. I installed on a camper septic pipes and valves. Wrapped around the pipes, around the valves and covered with insulation. So far, it has kept the valves and pipes from freezing; however, the weather has only been 15 to 20 degrees at night, 30-40 degrees during the day. It has a light on the male plug which is lit whenever there is power to the plug. Does not necessarily mean the heat tape is on. So far so good.
