We grandparents bought this Royal Baby bike after showing many pictures of bikes to our almost 4 year old granddaughter. She immediately chose this one. This makes her an above average rider with the seat in the lowest position (of course). A 16 inch bike would be too big. Assembly was easy using the tool provided. There are not many parts to assemble. I did all the connections the RB way, except I attached the basket at the top (on the handlebars). Granddaughter hates the included bell but we knew that from other reviews so bought the bell. She likes the jingle ring (which fits perfectly). We had no issues with misalignment, loose spokes, or squeaky brakes. I have problems with tyres, seat and steering wheel. The tires don't hold air as well as we would like, but they hold more than enough air for a lightweight 4-year-old. You need a 90 degree hose connection to get more air into these little tires. Such a connector is sold at Revain for about $2. The saddle loosens every few rides so I re-tighten it. The handlebars will also loosen, but after the last tightening of the bolts we haven't had any loosening recently The handbrake is great because the concept of pedaling ba quickly engage the footbrake is counterintuitive to my granddaughter. 4 year old granddaughter loves this pink 14" RB bike and grandpa hasn't had any mechanical issues that couldn't be fixed with the tools provided (and 90 degree air hose bib).
