We knew our living room was darker (ceiling fan light only), but we had no idea how amazing the lighting could be until we installed LED lights. Husband installed 5 of 12 in living room. Installation was very quick and (from where I was standing) seemed easy. These lights have a very, very low profile, almost flush with the ceiling (in fact, almost as thick as the drywall on the ceiling). He read reviews to see if the lights worked before installing - all 5 we installed worked. He used some sort of Dremel tool he bought from Harbor Freight to cut holes in the ceiling. I don't know what was going on in the attic but shortly after he got there he called me on my cell phone and told me to flip the switch and see if the light worked. It was really amazing! We could see in our living room! I love collecting jigsaw puzzles, playing board games and seeing all the pieces in bright light! Now our kitchen (which seemed very bright compared to our living room) is dim and we are thinking of replacing our old kitchen lights with new ones. We will also install some of these in our bedroom which is also very dark. Oh and we put them on a dimmer which works great!
