There is still some sliding on rocks because there's no felt. But they are still pretty good. I needed some boots quick for a fishing trip and these did the job. I would recommend buying 1 size up, even though it works with the current size, because when you first put them on with stock foot waders, it's really tight, can't move your toes. It's not until after walking around for several minutes that you can move your toes, and even then, it's a bit snug. If I were to buy these again, I would get 1 size higher (I bought size 11 for my 10.5 feet).I would recommend if this is your first time.
