I love using wax seals. They came with a wick and I was hoping it would be easier than using a melter. I've used aggressive sealing wax in the past and it's been quick and effective, but these specific ones haven't been easy, quick, or effective. First, the wax itself was flammable. this meant the wax caught fire and fell onto my envelope, which was still burning. Very dangerous! Before wax became flammable, the wax wick burned very slowly, so the wax dripped very slowly. By the time I had a decent amount of wax on paper it had already set.
