I put on my 5 year old daughter's hat (50.5 cm head circumference). the width/circumference is great, but as already mentioned in the other reviews, the hat is simply too short. The cap keeps slipping back and the ears are free. Then tried on my son (2 years - head circumference approx. 47-48cm) yes, the length is great, covers the ears nicely but is too wide. The hat is just way too big. Keeping the cap isn't worth it either, according to the motto, oh he'll grow into it. Because then the hat will fit like my daughter's, and the width is great too, but too short (ears free). When I unpacked it, I noticed that the hat is short but wide. Well what can I say, the hat does not serve its purpose and therefore no purchase recommendation!
