I have an old laptop that tends to overheat. I've used a cooling pad with it and had good results, so I decided to buy another one for my new laptop. This is an MSI gaming laptop with an RGB keyboard, so this cooking stand seems perfect. I have to say I'm impressed. It's definitely harder. I don't know what the temperature drop is, but it's significant. I noticed a significant difference when I put my hand on the keyboard. I only turned the fans halfway on. As for the cooling function, this thing is amazing. It's quieter than my other cooling pad, but not silent. I had to disable it during voice recording. My microphone picked up the sound with no difficulty. But my ears are a different story, they almost don't pick up the sound. The connection to my laptop is via a USB-A cable. The device has an extra socket, so it returns the port used. I connected a USB keyboard and mouse to it and everything works great. While the cables connect on the back, the controls are on the front. I only have to press one button to adjust the fan speed, turn the device on or off and control the light bars on the sides. It's much more convenient than my other panel with controls on the back. The control panel can be raised to adjust the height and angle of the laptop. There are fold-out tabs on the front to hold the laptop in place to prevent it from slipping off. It is also stronger than my other rug. That's a good thing because this laptop is significantly heavier than my other one. It is height adjustable. It costs a little more than my other cooling pads but is worth the money. He doesn't have the problems the other has. It's got a bigger base, the controls are on the front where they're accessible, and it's built better. In this case, it is worth a slightly higher price.
