New update: GPS stopped working as of May 25th. Tried updating via Garmin Express (to ensure the EPO.bin/ephemeris predicting satellite position) was up to date. I removed the phrase "DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH" from the title - it's unfair. It will be the perfect watch at the perfect price for MANY casual runners/treadmill users and even hikers. It's insanely easy to use, the controls are intuitive, the battery really lasts almost a week, the touchscreen is fantastic and it gives you all the data you want. I really want to like it. But I can't get the GPS to work for anything and keep the 1 star rating because despite all these great features the GPS stopped working completely after about 5-6 months - and because the Garmin customer support (resp. EXTREMELY disappointing. I looked at Garmin's warranty to find out how to get an RMA to send it in for review, but the URL just takes you to a help page asking if you have a clear view of the sky, if GPS + GLONASS enabled etc. I research and write for a living and I have not been able to find a way to contact a real person to get an RMA to look at this watch so all in all this could be the perfect one clock for you (musical or non-musical version) At this price point this clock outperforms some of the other 'proper' clocks you might be considering Really smart and intuitive controls with one he button and a touch side on the watch bezel. But I haven't had a GPS for a month. And no support service is visible. It's a shame really. I chose the Polar Vantage V. More than I really wanted to spend, 5 (!) buttons and minimal touchscreen capabilities, insanely unintuitive controls (I can't even figure out how to turn this thing off or if it actually turns on). . completely off). But it works. Let's knock on wood. Updated review: Star docking as the GPS issue has been going on for over a week. It worked once or twice right after the reset, but generally the watch stopped connecting to the GPS altogether. Not just GPS, GPS + GLONASS or GPS + GALILEO. Nothing. This is NOT a "wait 2 minutes in one spot” problem. This is the "WATCH CANNOT/WILL NOT FIND ANY GPS SATELLITE". So, less than 6 months later, I now have a relatively expensive pedometer and heart rate monitor. Very disappointed in Garmin and now looking for alternatives (Polar, Suunto, others) to replace in just 6 months. This is simply unacceptable. (Tried again today on a golf course, in clear weather, while syncing to phone, using GPS + GLONASS. Left it in that mode for 30-45 minutes at a time. NOTHING. Unacceptable, Garmin.) Original review: I got these in December 2018 watch and i love it. I don't use it for sleep tracking, but other than that I wear it all the time). It's easy to use, heart rate is accurate (within a beat or two of my Sole elliptical with chest strap), easy activities to set up, and the battery really lasts a week depending on how much you use the GPS. and the GPS was great. Until a day ago when he just decided to quit work and didn't come back. Tried 3 times to reset it, turn on GLONASS, turn off - nothing. The weird thing is that I have a sunrise/sunset app loaded on my watch and this app which is supposed to use GPS works fine. So I'm left with a heart rate monitor and a pedometer (I've found that the steps are very inaccurate even compared to GPS - for example a 1.3 mile walk became around 1.65-1.7 miles when only steps were used without GPS). I hope this is a temporary firmware issue that will be fixed very soon. otherwise it goes back to Polar.
