Review on 🐠 Advanced Smart-APP Controlled 165W Aquarium Light: Dimmable Full Spectrum LED Coral Reef Light for Saltwater and Freshwater Fish Tank Setup by Jermale Bullion

Doesn't work if you don't have a Wi-Fi connection.

Overall, this aquarium light is very well made. The outer casing is plastic so there is less chance of rusting on top of the saltwater tank than my old one which was completely rusted. The plastic body also makes it lighter than a metal mount. The only downside, which is also a huge downside for people who don't have wifi or a router to connect to, is that you basically can't connect the light to the app. I first tested it at home via the Tuya app, not what the manual says. Essentially the same app, but I've already connected smart plugs to my Tuya app so it's easier. With the Wi-Fi connection it was very easy to connect and find the light. It even connected to my Revain Echo at home which was a plus. Once I bring it to work I don't have wifi or a router and the app can't find the light. Luckily the app had a light so I could control it manually but the timer I set didn't work. So I brought an old router to work and then removed the light from the app and reinstalled it through the router and was able to see it again. You must allow the hobbyist to use the light with the app without a router or Wi-Fi. There is only an on/off switch on the flashlight itself, so without being connected to the app it cannot be controlled at all.

Pros
  • 🐑Three Dimmable Channels - There are 3 dimmable channels to choose from (White+Red+Green/Blue/Moon Blue). The intensity can be adjusted from 0% to 100% via the smartphone's Wi-Fi app to achieve the best lighting for your aquarium.
