I bought this laptop specifically for its LTE capabilities, there aren't many Intel based laptops that offer this. There are quite a few Qualcomm ARM-based LTE-connected laptops out there, but these devices are severely underutilized. I use a T-Mobile SIM card with this laptop and it works straight away with no hiccups. It's so great that I can open the lid of my laptop and it's connected to the internet and ready to go. I get a strong signal, usually 4 bars strong. Immediately after turning on this unit for the first time, you need to update the firmware. You will get better LTE signal strength and after that some minor bugs will be fixed. mass, and it's fast. The laptop runs cool and I never hear its fan running even when fully overclocked. 8 GB of DDR4 memory is enough for most tasks, but a large number of open tabs in Chrome leads to a slight slowdown. Something I didn't even know is the real star of the show in this laptop - a Kingston NVMe SSD. This SSD is lightning fast and turns the laptop on and off like a light switch. If you are migrating from a device with an older storage system, the speed and transfer speed of this Kingston SSD will seem absurd. If there's one disappointment I have with this laptop, I'd say it's the build quality. While the lid and inner frame around the display are made of aluminum, the rest of the case is made of plastic. Some models of the Acer Swift 3 come with an all-aluminum body, but this particular model with an LTE modem does not. Cell phone reception may have prompted Acer to use plastic here, but that's quite a shame. However, this is an incredibly thin and light laptop that's easy to carry around. It fits in an office envelope, just like the Macbook Air in Apple's original commercial. I get about 7 hours of battery life from this device, but I keep the screen brightness a little higher than most. What doesn't matter to most but does matter to me is the fact that this laptop can play a lot of PC games. Halo, Skyrim, UT and Minecraft play decent enough. And my internet-requiring games like Eve Online and WoW go hand-in-hand with this laptop since it has an internet connection built-in. If you tether your phone, you need to buy this. It has very few competitors, and those that cost around $700 more. If you do NOT need LTE connectivity, I would choose something else with an all-aluminum body.
