Huge piece of junk

The file manager won't let me delete directories, only individual files. I cannot copy individual files from an external source, only the entire contents of the flash drive. So if I have a hundred photos on a flash drive and a movie, it copies everything but only allows me to delete files at a time in the most cumbersome way. It has an interface cable that I have never seen before and is unique to this product and only this product. A standard USB cable would be smart and sensible. Oh no. Don't use it. Make a brand new cable that will render the device useless if lost. It's getting pretty hot. It cannot play very many formats. The initialization takes a few minutes. it's slow The interface is about as user-friendly as an Army Supply Sergeant. The build quality is about the same as the fake electronics you buy in Mexico. The thing is a huge piece of junk. If you're considering buying a Coby PMP7040, do yourself a favor and buy $170 worth of books instead. You should be able to finish one or two in the time it takes to initialize this useless pile of junk.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are errors

Possibly the worst interface design ever.
