Won't snap onto hitch

The hitch cover itself was great, but once I installed it I realized you definitely need a better system to hold it securely to my hitch. I had it for about a month and it fell off. I ordered another one today and this time I'm going to remove the plastic on the sides that was supposed to hold it in place and replace it with a hex bolt and nut. It will definitely protect him.
