The product works as intended. The biggest problem I have with this crossover is the line driver and the "max" crap. I have a DD1 and this unit WILL introduce distortion before any of your "maximized" lights light up even a bit. I measured the block distortion through my amp using DD1. Gain is set to minimum. As I said, on a test audio track of -10dB 40Hz on my main Alpine unit, this unit introduces distortion before even a faint glow of any of the Max lights. Well, with that being said, it crosses frequencies perfectly. I find that each dial is completely different in terms of zero point, the maximum position of the buttons is pretty much the same. So this only makes it more difficult to find the starting point, since the labeling of the frequencies is not accurate depending on the position of the knob. NO ONE should be installing crossovers like this, but being able to easily find 2500 and knowing you're in that frequency range and not having to worry about the knob not being in the right place is a good starting point, where it is precisely labeled. with consideration for everyone else. I think you are much better off saving money and buying a much higher quality DSP. The amount of distortion this unit introduces when you don't have a distortion detector or oscilloscope and are trying to adjust the master volume without them is just not good. They make you think you have to turn it up so loud that the lights flicker because then everything is maxed out. They would probably be better and sell more of these units and call it a goddamn distortion detector because no matter what test track I play, you're going to get distortion before any of the maximum meters light up. So I guess if you really want to overdrive your system and get absolutely every last drop of dirty power out to your speakers. Take this pad and SEND EM!
