I love how they work with cotton. It's like painting with watercolors. Wash cotton first. After varnishing I leave the finished work for 24 hours, then iron it with a hot (no steam) iron for 3-6 minutes. I washed two of my designs; 1) I hand washed and tumble dried, 2) others with a load of towels machine washed with warm water and tumble dried. I wanted to make sure the design didn't bleed or fade. Worked great. I also like that there is no rigidity in the drawn design. As if the color was sprinkled into cotton fibers.
