Review on Nimitz 2nd HDD SSD Hard Drive Caddy - Compatible with Lenovo Thinkpad T400 T400s T410 T410s T420s T430s T500 W500 by Nancy Roelfsema

I have a W500 which should have a Win7 image. I bought this product to create a 320GB drive image on a new WD Black 1TB drive. The 9.5mm drive fits perfectly and the included screws hold it securely. As a longtime belt and braces fan, I added a loop of double-sided tape to the cartridge. The cartridge fits perfectly, but after pressing the W500 release button under the cartridge, it does not come out! The extra loop allowed me to rock the cartridge from side to side to release it. I couldn't help but put it back in and had to move to get it out again. I then took the time to look at the W500 slot, the new cartridge and the W500 lock. To my surprise, the cartridge had a finer tolerance than the DVD cartridge I removed. Now, to remove the new drive cartridge, I press the W500 latch latch, pull the latch lever to tighten it, press and hold the W500 latch latch, and the new cartridge pops out without restriction. Perfect fit, the frame is perfect. I don't see any LEDs at my location, so no comment. So I'm giving it 5 stars and ordering another cartridge for another W500 from the store.
