Review on Bosch 00492431 Ignition Device by Marcus Block

The original part that came with the range lasted 10 years, the first replacement (OEM part) lasted 5 years. This is the second replacement igniter for our range - the same OEM part. The part received is exactly the same as the defective part (which was exactly the same as the original). Hopefully it will last 5 years, preferably much longer, but time will tell. But a simple replacement: Unplug the cooker, open the floor cover in the oven, unscrew the two Torx screws, pull out the two plugs on the back of the oven floor, then reverse the process. I've considered much cheaper alternatives but don't want to deal with a headache if they don't work after a few months. While it's easy to replace without having to squeeze into the back of the stove and making sure I don't stress the gas line, it's worth the extra cost.
