We bought this pack to prepare our guinea pigs for home. Our piglets are less than a year old and the previous owner said they are not potty trained. We decided it wouldn't hurt to try. Within 24 hours, one of them had already left the shelter, used a liter and returned to the shelter. On the third day, they both used it very often! Some of them are still in the cage, but most are in the shell. They can't sift it like cats as the poop is about the same size as a liter so we only used a small amount and tossed it out daily. We don't smell. The only downside is that it sticks to the tray when wet. But in general we think they are pretty potty trained. Household rodents potty trained? How cool is that!
