Soft leather leash. We used it daily on our 20# dachshund for a couple of weeks. With a little tug he keeps on the leash quite well; easily corrected with a few quick pulls on the leash. He seems to respond better to a leather leash than a nylon leash with the same collar. The line quickly became softer. On one side it has a natural finish that will flake a bit. He stretched a little. Super light in the hand. Has good weight. It smells like leather but not too strong and doesn't linger on your hands afterwards. I gave it 4 stars as I think it's great for our dog but may not be strong enough for larger or stronger dogs. If your dog enjoys chewing, they may be particularly attracted to sections of pasture. Our pup chews easily so it's easy to get him to stop and to be honest this was his gentle cue for us to start. Ha!
