Review on πŸ” SORTA Clear 37 Silicone Craft Rubber for Optimal Clarity by Tara Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cannot be used

The best before date says 25 minutes but I only had 5 minutes after which I couldn't water it (after about 5 minutes of stirring). My first set of molds (3 small 1 ounce molds) had significant bubbles so I tried pouring the second batch more slowly. I couldn't even fill all three before the stuff got too heavy to work with. I bought it after a YouTube video on rolling the dice recommended it as an alternative to SortaClear 12, which doesn't appear to be available on Amazon. I watched a few videos and read a lot of manuals to make sure I know what I'm doing because it's expensive and I didn't want to waste it. I don't know if the batch I received was bad, but I won't buy them again. Oh, it doesn't work well with resin 3D prints either, FYI. If you want to use it with it, you'll have to buy another insanely expensive product called Inhibit X, which is not only hard to find but will cost you at least another $50.

Pros
  • Waxes and low-melting metal alloys can also be cast in SORTA-Clear.
Cons
  • old
