This grip stabilizer is actually better than I expected. I was looking for an easy grip to hold my Note8 for long periods of time when I couldn't use a tripod. This thing did it. After holding the Note8 for almost an hour to record a lesson, my hands, wrists and arms weren't tired and I was able to get good stable recordings from the iPhone (I could move around the class, not from one place) . ). In fact, I was holding this grip in my right hand and in my left I was holding an external microphone on a mini boom. No problem. Before purchasing this grip I tried several grips including aluminum and plastic with padding. This grip just felt like I had more control over the Note8's movements (up/down - left/right with little or no wobble). Because this pistol grip is slightly angled and has a rubberized texture, I find it worked better for me than some straight stock designs. I wasn't expecting anything better, but this grip was a pleasant surprise. The cradle that holds the phone is also solid - when moving the Note8 I never felt like it would fall out of the cradle. It also keeps my Note8+ fairly snug and I look forward to using it. This grip is pretty solid and was a good buy. I'll post photos soon!
