I love having this outlet by my desk, it makes charging devices easy and convenient throughout the workday. Unfortunately, there are no pads to protect the tabletop when set up, so you don't have to over-tighten the clamp. This means that plugging things into sockets will cause it to wobble a bit. Not at all the situation I wanted. I solved my problem by placing small strips of 3M tape between the mounting brackets and the top of my desk. Now the extension cord is secure and won't damage my desk. I'm not sure why the brackets don't have pads for the top of the table (they come with pads for the bottom) but that's the only issue I have with this product.
