Just a shadow of the past

My own kids liked the same cracker we had when they were little. I wanted to keep it for future grandchildren but due to a misunderstanding I sent it to the donation basket. I was upset then, but even more so now that this replacement is all I could find and it's not that good. Pros: 1 - bright colors, 2 - balls seem sturdy enough for the purpose, 3 - cute graphics, 4 - easy controls. Disadvantages: 1-"Music"-no way to turn it off, no volume control, annoying song. Without music, it would be a great toy! Why do toy makers hate humanity so much that they insist on adding unnecessary and inferior "music" to every toy? Can't kids enjoy physics, causality, and high levels of visual stimulation without adding repetitive, non-melodic, tinny listening overload? I'm going to put something on the speaker to try and fix it. 2- The fan is different from the old version; it seems too strong and the balls sometimes fly a few meters. The old one had enough flow to keep the balls moving, but there was only a strong rush if you "plugged" the hole with your hand for a moment (which kids sometimes did unintentionally at first, but they learned to do to do or not). do depends on what they wanted to do with the balls) while it was chugging as expected and then randomly the balls just popped out the top instead of hitting the lane. I think it's good for getting more exercise when they're crawling or hobbling over stray balls. And for teaching them that life is unpredictable and uncontrollable and that at any moment everything can fall apart. I wonder if this might wear off as the batteries wear out a bit. if it works I'll get back to you. Overall it's a good toy and my grandson loves it, but it's not the great toy it was in previous versions.
