Review on iBrightstar 7443 7440 T20 LED Bulbs – Super Bright, Low Power, 9-30V, Projector Replacement for Tail Brake and Turn Signal Lights – Brilliant Red by Nick Singh

Solid upgrade. Slightly brighter than traditional incandescent bulbs but comparable to newer car LED taillights.

Installed on my Subaru Forester 06, 4 bulb rear system. Build quality is good, I'm not an expert. My biggest concern was that I didn't want them to be so bright that it looked like my brake lights were on. They're a little brighter than traditional incandescent bulbs, but they're no different than the LED lights you see on new cars. When I hit the pause button these lights come on really bright and again I was concerned that they would be too bright and blind the person behind me at night but since they are red it really isn't that bad. I really like how sensitive incandescent bulbs are, which is the nature of LEDs, but I wasn't expecting this to show how slow standard incandescent bulbs are. It's a split second, but I like to think that hitting my car might have made a difference for the guy who rode on the bumper. Installation was the same as with any lightbulb. All 4 worked, no flipping required, no resistors required but this is a 12 year old Subi with no major engineering upgrades. It's been a little over a week, no issues with temperatures in the 20-40 degree Fahrenheit range. The summer will be a real challenge. I will post an update if I run into any problems. At the moment I am very satisfied. I've attached a photo of just the taillights and with the brake pressed. Note. The left side (driver) consists of standard bulbs, the right side (passenger) consists of LEDs. UPDATE: A year later, still works.
