This hand luggage is fantastically well thought out. I've done a *very* thorough search both online and in person, and if you feel this bag suits your needs well, you probably won't find another bag that matches this one at a better price. (I thought it was expensive until I continued my search.) Plenty of room for your everyday gear, and plenty more room for your "workweek carry-ons" - provided you pack efficiently I'm sure (personally not t I know of another way of packing, but thought it was worth mentioning - there is a very convenient place for carry-on luggage, but it's not as big as your usual trip). My goal: a few days of business trips. My criteria is that work items, packed clothes and such are separated so I can get off the flight to my client location and not worry about showing everyone my clothes while I pull out my laptop without having to carry two bags. . This bag does the job surprisingly well with a laptop pocket on the back and two front pockets to hold your "work bag" stuff, plus an additional top pocket for those little extras you need to keep on hand! At the same time, the super spacious middle part is like a (smaller than usual) hand luggage! I also tried the 46 - I'm a female - quite tall at 5ft 7 but I still thought the 46 looked like I was on a hike in Europe - so I went for this 30 that has it all has same exact design features and just smaller but then again - I'm a super efficient packer and it's only 3-4 days so this will work beautifully for me and looks a little more put together on me. I also ended up going for a gray padlock because I felt it was a more flexible but very professional looking color. My husband kept 46 because even though he didn't actually need it, he fell in love with it and said we should have "the right" bags ;-) of course. He kept the black one. I absolutely love this bag - in fact I am going to buy a turquoise one for my son because from now on we never have to worry about bags at the airport even when we go on vacation! ;-) As another reviewer pointed out, one downside is no bottle cage, but I think I can find a way - and if not - hey, that's the *only* thing I have to keep! :-D
