Product review first then why I chose the product and how I have used it below. The product is well packaged, easy to understand how to install. To do this, you will need a drill, a spirit level, a hammer, a tape measure and masking tape for marking the wall. Remove the 2 mounting brackets by loosening the hex head screws (supplied). Decide where you want to mount the shelf and hold it there using a spirit level marking a square around the two anchor points (again, painter's tape is recommended here). Now install the shelf and hold the 2 mounting brackets in the middle of these squares to mark the positions for the 2 screws. Use a drill (no size given so I assumed it was small and then slowly lifted it up) to drill holes for the plastic bushings to fit very snugly. I used a hammer once I was sure it would fit. Make sure the plastic bushings are undamaged and tight. Now screw the mounting brackets to the wall, making sure to align and align correctly. Now here's my only major complaint about this whole setup. The hex screws are so close to the wall and the rack itself that you can't tighten them well with the included hex wrench. I didn't have a driver for my drill, so I had no choice but to get through. I had to do 2-3 tries on each side to properly attach the handle. My wall isn't perfectly flat, so the character might make it harder than a fairly flat wall. I had to push hard against the wall to get the screws to go in properly. CAUTION, FULLY TIGHTEN ONE SIDE FIRST. Run both while supporting the shelf to make sure the hangers are holding properly. Finally, tighten both sides and check back and forth a few times until you can't tighten any further, which should mean the Allen screws are flush with the shelf. If they protrude a lot I would assume you have done something wrong and the shelf will not support such a weight as advertised. When I was done I pulled on the shelf and gave it a little nudge (without trying to pry it off) just to make sure it was secure. It was very durable and looked beautiful. My partner and I were able to hang our two towels and then easily store fresh towels on top. Also, I added hooks to the sides to hold the hair dryer, which was another good storage option. This block can hold 2 towels and 4 large rolled fresh towels on top. As I said in the installation overview, if you add hooks to the edges, you can also hang things like hair dryers and so on.
