Overall happy with the purchase. It looks fine on my desktop. The image is a bit cloudy as I just filled it in and it's still floating around. I have many freshwater tanks but this is my first attempt at catching saltwater. I chose this one because it was simple and had everything I needed. If all goes well I'll have 75g left at home that I'll probably convert to a reef tank. What bothers me the most is the lack of space in the back. I understand it's designed to be small with just the right amount of space to maximize space in a real tank. but the pump and heater in the picture are in the same column, but actually I had to use a spare column where the protein skimmer should be. I suspect it might just be the heater I bought as it didn't come with 1 but it was the smallest Fluval on offer. My other complaint would be the lid. I was expecting something like a hinge and expecting it to snap into at least 1 piece. Maybe I assembled it wrong, but my lid has 2 parts and it seems that it will always be without a seal. A final criticism and not a big deal is that there is no cover over the feeding hole. Not large, but with a small reservoir and the need to keep a close eye on salinity, it would be a good idea to contain as much evaporation as possible. The biggest advantages are the value for money. It comes with everything you need except a heater and a protein skimmer. LEDs for "standard" lights work very well. I was planning on upgrading right away but now I guess I'll wait as the ones in the lid are pretty solid. It's easy enough to assemble. I had a colleague who also loves fish help me out and we ate it together in 15 minutes. The design is also very beautiful. All in all it's a very stylish design and for $160 I don't think you'll find better value for your money. Overall great packaging and I would definitely buy again and recommend. A colleague liked the optics very much and I think he will order one.
