Braun Series 5 - 52s is a good shaver head. Combined with the body of the razor, it glides smoothly over the beard/face and follows contours well. Compared to some men, I have a relatively light beard. As with any electric razor, it is best to shave daily or at least every other day. With my beard I shave closely for three days, but be prepared to take multiple passes at a slow pace like you would with any electric shaver. In this case it is best to use a blade. The shaving head itself is designed for 18 months. I found this really needs to be changed after 12 months. It still shaves, but more slowly, and there may be some obstacles along the way. In general I like it. I have had many razors over the years. I like brown best.
