I am very grateful to the person who looked through it before me, showed me where the instructions are (on the back of the plug) and took a photo. We had no idea they were there and after plugging them into an outlet on deck I didn't want to return them. The plug is very long, so if you have a box cover on the socket, it won't close. The "remote control" needs to be about 5 inches from the plug to work. This makes it difficult to turn on and off from anywhere except next to it. In addition, the timer determines how long it should light up after switching on. I was hoping for a set with a timer. The lamps are long and give good light. I just don't think they're the best for the street.
