Review on πŸŽ’ Osprey Aphelia Women's Laptop Backpack: Stylish and Functional Backpacks for Women by Lillian Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Satisfied, but there are some flaws.

I have an older Nova and was thinking of buying a new model but wanted to try this one because it's a bit smaller and has better water bottle holders. I also have an old flap jill but it's too fat for what I need. This turned out to be a good medium sized bag for everything I need to get to and from school. Pros: The side bottle holders are great. I have my water bottle on one side and my umbrella on the other, and they stay in place even when I bend over. The sunglass/phone pocket is quite roomy. The middle flash range too. As you can see from the photo, I can take a small travel pillow in a bag in the compartment (for those uncomfortable school chairs all day!) and some snacks downstairs. I think there could be a few more things in there. The main room fits some books and my 15 inch Macbook Pro, no problem. Chest and waist straps make it easier to carry loads. The top grip is great and sturdy although I liked the grip on the flap jill as it was a bit softer but it works well. It's not waterproof, but I've worn it in the rain (with my umbrella, which sure helped). and it stayed pretty dry considering.. Cons: It's been mentioned but there is a flap over the zip for the main compartment which makes it difficult to zip and unzip easily. I think it helps keep things dry but it gets stuck on the valve. It also falls over occasionally, which can be annoying when I want to keep it upright, but it doesn't have anything underneath to keep it upright. Overall I'm glad I chose this over the new Nova as it's a great daypack. in the front pocket. I wish there were loops on the outside for hanging things (like this pillow so I can put other things in the middle compartment, or a travel yoga mat attached to the outside, etc.). I also wish there was more of a hidden pocket for hip and chest straps to keep them from dangling or hitting the floor. The back has a slight curve, which I think could be an issue, but it's quite comfortable even when fully loaded. I'm glad I bought this bag as there are so many to choose from it's hard to choose!
