Review on K&N VF2053 Premium Cabin Air Filter: High Performance, Washable, Clean Airflow for Ford Mustang (2015-2018) Models by Tyler Smith

Terrible. Maybe the wrong filter was put in the box, or maybe Revain is wrong when it says it fits my 2016 Mustang GT. The filter does not fit completely into the filter compartment. It sticks out about 3/8 inch, making it almost impossible to reinstall the compartment door with the filter installed. I spent almost an hour wiggling, rotating, etc. to see if anything freezes, but no, it's too long. The manufacturer may be aware of the problem, because the instructions state that the filter snaps into place after the door is installed. There may be some resistance when closing the door. Yes, this client can overcome more resistances! As I am writing a review, I mention that the filter can be installed in two ways (four if you accidentally installed the handrail end first). All disposable filters have arrows showing which side is up because the air needs to flow in a specific direction. Now it COULD be that this reusable filter works the same way anyway BUT you still want to make sure it works the same way after cleaning so any remaining dirt is on the inlet side. It doesn't have arrows on it, so you'll either have to mark it yourself or risk installing it incorrectly after cleaning it. Also, it's not good or bad, but if you're going to buy this and try to install it, know the instructions. see T20 (Torx). So don't empty the glove box, remove the gas strut from the side of the glove box, lower the glove box to access the cabin filter compartment behind if you don't have that to hand. I knew this from previous experience but it would be nice if the directions were given for a specific car.
