I fixed the ceiling fan myself!

The chain on our very nice ceiling fan broke and it was in a little box - when I unclipped our controller box it broke into a few pieces and I couldn't put it back together. I ordered this replacement part that fits mine, had 4 wires just like this one - our part numbers didn't match as I couldn't find a part number that matched my fan. It arrived, I pulled out 4 wires in my switch controller box and plugged them into this one - reinstalled everything on my fan and it worked! Very pleased as the new fans are too modern for my historic home and our fan was very high quality when we bought it 20 years ago so I wanted to fix it rather than replace it.
