I really loved these socks when I bought them a year ago - they fit as expected and kept my feet so warm! They were such a relief to find! However, I received another set last week, and I must say, I am truly disappointed. Upon opening the box, I could tell the material felt different - It has a much more synthetic feel than my previous set. No change in the feel after washing, and I still have my previous set side-by-side for comparison.They are keeping my feet warm, but not nearly as well. I have a desk job, and my toes are cold by mid-day. Also, I wore the previous socks to bed on occasion, and found I would kick them off halfway through the night. It's not happening with this latest set - I'm keeping them on all night, which means my feet are not warming up like they used to.The synthetic content of these socks has certainly increased, and based on much colder my feet have been feeling, I suspect this was achieved by lowering the wool content. So sad.These expensive socks are now cheap quality.
