I ordered this hound this summer to vacation at a lake house with no fenced yard and have been testing him in our back yard between two trees for almost a month now, and it works. ! It can take the strain of our 55 lb dog and she can move around easily without getting tangled. The rope is very long so the only downside for me as a small person is that I have to wrap it around the tree several times before tightening it and I have to lift the rope quite high to avoid slacking the rope. . Love the handy storage bag that comes with it for easy travel and appreciate that the rope is reflective so no one walks around in it.
