I bought this skirt to protect my legs from the sun when paddling on lakes. It's easy to apply, stays in place, and delivers just the right shade. It also prevents drips from my paddle from getting onto my feet or onto the boat. It repels water well, but still gets a little wet if exposed to a lot of water (e.g. heavy rain or excessive splashing). I love that it fits all my boats (Pelican 100, Aspire 105 and Pungo 120). You can try adding an extra spacer between the two horizontal spacers to prevent water from pooling in the bag.
