Review on Bialetti® Moka Express Espresso Replacement by Carlos Henley

Double pot on stove espresso and moka maker

I'm not sure bragging about coffee makes sense. We have such great coffee options available and many companies have successfully geared their restaurants around the beverage. Keurig's coffee maker commercialized the variety aspect of coffee and made it easy to pour a personalized cup. Why did I decide to buy one of those stove top espresso machines last week? In a word, quality. I've had all sorts of coffee makers running around my kitchen over the years, and I've found pros (and cons) in them. The Keurig coffee maker is good, but sometimes it doesn't perform as well as espresso coffee. And the espresso machine I owned (Krups) was fast but difficult to clean and maintain. After a cup of Bialetti Moka it just makes sense. It's relatively easy to prepare and clean up, quick to brew, and the perfect cup size for the caffeine boost I need. If you are alone and looking for a good cup of coffee you can't go wrong. A few tips I'll try next week: What if you prepared an espresso machine the night before? So you just turn on the oven in the morning? What is best to use in this machine: semi-cooked milk, frothed milk or cold milk? How often do I need to change the seal/filter? Will this stop me from throwing money into Forbucks coffee?

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
